A frustrating afternoon for the lads as we fell to a narrow 4–3 defeat against Bacup Borough Shadow Squad.
The game was a mixed performance from Radcliffe, with moments of good football but also periods where we made things difficult for ourselves.
We took the lead but failed to manage the game effectively, allowing Bacup back into the contest and ultimately giving them opportunities to punish us.

The second half was a much-improved performance. We started to move the ball quicker, put Bacup under pressure and pin them back for longer periods.
There were also some encouraging performances from the new additions to the squad, who settled in well and showed plenty of promise.

"We need to improve our game management. Once we take the lead, we can’t switch off and give the opposition opportunities to get back into the game. If we keep giving teams chances, we’ll keep getting punished.
“That said, the second half was much better. We started moving the ball about, playing with more confidence and pinning Bacup back. There are plenty of positives to take, but we need to learn from the mistakes."
