Match Overview
Radcliffe Town got off to a fantastic start, going 1–0 up inside the first five minutes from an early awarded penalty.
The lads continued their excellent start, playing some fantastic football a AFC Monton hMonton to get near Radcliffe, and the lads completely outplayed them for large parts of the first half. On another day, Radcliffe could have gone into half-time 3 or 4 goals up.
Unfortunately, the second half was a completely different story. The self-destruct button was pressed, with three goals in five minutes putting the game out of reach. A questionable penalty decision didn’t help, but once again, Radcliffe gave the opposition too many easy chances.

Key Moments
Our wide players Charlie and Eamon were outstanding, causing AFC Monton problems throughout the game and showing just how dangerous we can be from wide areas.
Looking Ahead
We’ll address certain things from Saturday at training on Wednesday and look to get back to basics.
The lads showed in that first half what we can do, what we’re about and how we can dominate games., doing the right things and we expect and doing them well. We take that positivity into the next game and look to put things right.

From the Touchline
"“The first half was great to watch and it was great to see the lads playing some really good football. The formation and the press were good. However, we cannot switch off like we did in the second half and conduct ourselves as we did, that is not what we are about
“The game is 90 minutes and we need to do the right things for 90 minutes, not just one half.”"
