Match Overview
A gritty and rewarding fixture played in challenging, rainy conditions. Despite the heavy weather, the team brought fantastic energy from the very first whistle, showing brilliant character to simply battle through the rain, get on with the job, and dictate the pace of the game.
Key Moments
The attacking front line was in sensational form, working fluidly as a unit to carve open the defence and slot three well-deserved goals home. At the other end of the pitch, Sophia delivered an absolute masterclass, pulling off some amazing shot-stopping to frustrate the opposition and keep us securely in command.
Looking Ahead
We will look to carry this excellent momentum and high energy into our next fixture. Training this week will focus on maintaining that high defensive discipline and continuing to sharpen our attacking link-up play to ensure we are fully prepared for the next challenge.
From the Touchline
"Extremely proud of the attitude and relentless work rate shown across the pitch today. The defensive line was incredibly strong and disciplined, executing their positioning perfectly to repeatedly catch the opposition's attackers offside. Huge congratulations to Sophia, who was rightfully awarded Player's Player for her heroics in goal, and to Charlie, who earned the Coach's Player award for an outstanding all-round shift."
