Match Overview
Today's fixture, Radcliffe vs Moss bank, was always going to be an uphill struggle as we started the game at a numerical disadvantage with 10 players against their 11. The girls battled exceptionally hard throughout the match, but the challenge deepened when an unfortunate injury forced us down to just 9 players on the pitch, making it an incredibly difficult and demanding contest to manage.
Key Moments
Despite the heavy pressure and lack of numbers, the team produced some genuinely good passages of play. The clear highlights of the match were the well-earned goals from Evie T and Tanushri, showcasing our attacking threat and clinical finishing even when the odds were heavily stacked against us.
Looking Ahead
Training this week will prioritise rest and recovery to ensure those carrying knocks are looked after following such a physically taxing game. We will also look to build on the positive, fluid link-up play that created our goals today as we prepare for our next fixture.
From the Touchline
"We are extremely proud of the sheer work rate, heart, and attitude shown by the girls today. To battle hard from the first whistle with 10 players, and then continue to fight for every ball with only 9, shows immense character and resilience from the entire squad. They never let their heads drop."
